Tuesday March 31st, 10:00 am

Wow, It's been a week since my last blog. Amazing how time flies. I kept thinking it was just two or three days ago. Fat chance. Well, the good news is, I do feel better now. Yay! I rested and yes, even took off from blogging. I think that battery inside me that was running low went all the way to zero. Ha! Not a good thing. Pacing myself is something I have never been good at. I always go, go, go until I just can't go anymore. Not always the best thing. But I do have to say some of my best work and most creative ideas have been accomplished during that crazy manic phase. Too bad there always has to be that crash and burn. Hmmm. Well, anyway, even in my "resting" time, I have of course managed to accomplish a lot. I think I am always accomplishing something, that's just my nature. I organized and decorated my new house in East Hampton, single handedly. The people in the stores around here think I am someone's interior designer.

Yesterday I had a runny nose, it's amazing how I revert back to childhood whenever I am sick. I am funny like that. I didn't even right my blog. So sorry about that, everything felt like such a struggle yesterday. And I sounded like Donald Duck L Let's see if I can fill you all in a bit. I drove back from the East Hampton on Monday straight to the office. I had an appointment to pitch for a new exclusive rental on 18th between Irving Place and 3rd Avenue. I don't know yet if I got it... I am hoping so.. The meeting went well and he did ask me to send my agreement for review. Believe it or not, I am not so much of the hard sell person. I sort of leave things up to fate and being meant to be. It may sound very odd to some of you, but it sure is a great way to keep your sanity in Sales.

I'm leaving East Hampton this am very excited about the possibilities. I actually met a top broker out here, someone who has been doing business out here for 17 some years and very successful. I met him at The Golden Pear coffee shop-pure "coincidence" although at this point I am beginning to suspect in life there are very few random coincidences. Things pan out in such special ways sometimes, I am beginning to seriously feel like a pawn in a grand master plan of specialness. And that's a feeling I sure like. What I have come away with is a sure feeling that I would like to do some business out here. There is a perfect synergy between my clients in New York and the Hamptons. That's obvious. I can't believe I didn't think of it before. This is perfect for me. Oozing with excitement I started googling for other successful boutique brokers that are established out

I arrived in my new East Hampton home last night for the first time since signing the lease a few weekes ago. I rented a lovely home for two years that I can enjoy with friends and family as a year round getaway. Last summer I came out East for the first time. I rented a house in the Northwest woods. It was my first summer "off" so to speak, having worked prior to that almost 7 days a week what seemed like non stop for more than ten years. That summer was a much needed break. What I learned from that experience is one summer, three short months out here is not enough.
