Happy New Year Everyone! New Year New Start :) i.e. I promise to update the blog. The end of 2009 (well maybe all of 2009) was absolutely crazy. It was this mix of Real Estate being slow and having to keep the staff motivated and the apartments rented and a deal I have going on with one of my Landlord's commercial space available in one of my exclusive buildings. This is my first real hint. I am not ready to announce ALL the details but I will say I am partnering with one of clients and we are soon to be opening a new business together in one of my exclusive buildings. This will be my second business and in this business I do have partners. Adina Equities will always be my baby

Not too long ago, the NYC Rental market took a sudden down turn. We've all heard about it, even if we're not connected to Real Estate. I hadn't "lost" a true exclusive account ever in my career actually and during that time I had two in jeopardy. One of them tried another rental broker (gasp). It was hard for me to understand, at the time. Why? Don't they know the apartments aren't moving because of the market not because of me. After all I had rented them just fine since like 2001. Well, they tried another broker. of course for me this is like my boyfriend cheating on me. But guess what? On Friday I took my boyfriend back. The other broker didn't perform very well, was unreliable, lost their keys, and any numerous of problems that quite frankly don't happen with Adina Equities. I make sure of it. So they are back. I got 8 new vacancies and a thumbs up from them to go to work. Yeah, I took my boyfriend back after he cheated on me, so to speak, but I couldn't be happier.
