Yesterday I had a runny nose, it's amazing how I revert back to childhood whenever I am sick. I am funny like that. I didn't even right my blog. So sorry about that, everything felt like such a struggle yesterday. And I sounded like Donald Duck L Let's see if I can fill you all in a bit. I drove back from the East Hampton on Monday straight to the office. I had an appointment to pitch for a new exclusive rental on 18th between Irving Place and 3rd Avenue. I don't know yet if I got it... I am hoping so.. The meeting went well and he did ask me to send my agreement for review. Believe it or not, I am not so much of the hard sell person. I sort of leave things up to fate and being meant to be. It may sound very odd to some of you, but it sure is a great way to keep your sanity in Sales.
Anyways, after that, I drove up to the Upper West Side with my agent Erin to look at some new gut renovated three bedrooms we are listing on West 107th Street. Turns out two out of three of them that are being constructed were ready to list, so we went ahead and got pictures and keys. I normally leave this stuff up to my agents, but honestly I didn't feel much like staying in the office plus I still price most of the apartments, and it really helps to see them in person to do so. So I did. We ended up getting Nachos and a Margarita as it was already 5pm and we got hungry (what a fun boss I am, I know) and then she went off to a little reunion party she was attending for a friend. I still felt like being out so I went to visit my friend who owns a Bar called Haven on East 51st Street. It's a beautiful bar with a very nice crowd that caters to an after work clientele and also does a lot of private events. She was there so I was able to catch up with her a bit. The 26 year old bartender was flirting with me which I always appreciate at my age. Ha ha. And then I met a very interesting oil businessman named Omar who wants to buy a Hamptons estate and doesn't have a broker yet. (ding ding ding) So on that note, I exchanged info and went home knowing a completed my day ending it with a bang. That was Monday. Tuesday was pretty lame as I was sick and felt so blah. I helped a broker friend price a rental building he might get an exclusive on (generous of me, I know!) then I ate a real NYC greek diner breakfast in an effort to feel better fast (didn't help) I had my office get me a large coffee and some Dayquil (that gave me energy for a few hours) but after that was downhill. I had a 2pm meeting with an important client of mine. I rallied for that "turned on" and that went great. But after that it was pretty much downhill.
Snotty nose non stop. Why was I still the last person to leave the office?
I don't know. But around 7PM I grabbed Luna, canceled my dinner plans I had with a friend visiting from Miami at the last minute (yes, I felt bad) but Xicam, a hot shower and bed was calling my name. I slept great and here I am. I only have blown my nose once this morning. Adina, take care of yourself.
