The rental market has picked up! We are really busy and it seems that spring is upon us. Finally. I think we all need a break from this winter.

Winter coats in April was a little much for all of us to bear I think..

Hopefully the spring is upon us now and no more cold weather until next winter. Spring/summer is typically the busy season for rentals. I think all of the rental brokers are anxious to see how this season is going to pan out. Once tax day passed, business definitely picked up for us.

Luckily we had a good amount of transactions in April. We are doing reduced fees these days- depending on the listing it could be no fee, one month fee or up to 12% of the annual rent depending on the overall value of the rent. There are a lot of apartments out there, in our exclusive buildings as well. Typically in this time of year we have 15-20 vacancies in our entire portfolio. This year, right now we have close to 50. That's a lot of vacancy. So it's more than doubled. That keeps us busy. But busy is good. I won't complain about it.. I'm grateful to be in a business that is still doing transactions. And I remind my agents to be grateful for the same thing... To be continued..
