Happy Memorial Day Everyone. This week flew by so fast. I got new exclusive building on East 30th Street this week. A quirky townhouse with an even quirkier Owner. It was quite an experience going for that pitch.

Heavy smoker. His apartment literally smelt like an ashtray. I was dizzy when I left- no joke. Very nice man though. Claimed to have cheated out of about 3 Million in the Madoff scandal. Has two vacancies coming up in his Townhouse and needs me to "do a really good job because he needs the cash." Yes. That was a quote. Sometimes I feel like I really need a reality show. I felt bad for him, and of course, I will do a very good job. One apartment he has on the top floor is one of the most unique rentals I have seen in awhile actually. It's got these incredible vaulted ceilings with skylights-it was originally two floors of the townhouse and they removed part of it at some point to create these amazingly high ceilings (my best guess is 25 feet or more) It's very cool. Unique, especially for Murray Hill/Kips Bay. At the same time I gained a building, I lost one too. Clinton Avenue in Brooklyn. Although we did end up renting one apartment there, I decided to give up Brooklyn (at least this part of

Brooklyn) because it's just really hard to add in a new borough with a company of my size. And to hire an agent just for Brooklyn just didn't feel right to me at this point in time. I feel bad about not being able to do Brooklyn exclusive's right now- because hey, after all an over achiever who does not like to fail. But sometimes you have to give something up to take a step forward. And as I always say, Manhattan is a big enough fish to fry.
