Laika was referred to me last year by an agent at Citi Habitats that thought she might be a good fit for Adina Equities. She had 5 years experience in Real Estate and had already left Citi. She was working for a small start up firm and was open to a better opportunity. Boy am I glad she was. The first time I met Laika I took her for coffee and to chat. We quickly lost track of time as we had so much in common we were just chatting away. I was looking for an apartment for myself at the time and was late for an appointment a few blocks away. I didn't want to let go of her, so I dragged her with me to the appointment. Certainly not your typical interview however Adina Equities isn't your typical company. She has been a part of our family ever since. I've just promoted Laika to Office Manager. Since 2002, I've had 3 Office Managers. None of which did a good job and quite frankly were like horror stories for the most part. Since the last Office Manager, which was back in 2008, I've been discouraged about hiring one. It's like I feel it's best of I do everything myself. But the thing with Laika is she gets me. She gets what the vision is. We want to help people find a place to live and walk away saying, "wow, that was nothing like the stress and bad experience I thought renting an apartment was all about". Plus she gets the whole family thing. The way we care for one another in our office, listen to each other , support one another when we don't feel well or need a vacation, probably does not exist in any other Real Estate office. There is no odd man out. We are family, all of us connected in a unique way. With that, I want to say Congrat's to Laika for her new position as office manager. I want to tell her that I have all the confidence in the world in you, and so do the girls. We love you and appreciate the hard work you've been putting in to helping us grow. Your boss lady (that's me) is inspired, and for that, I thank you. Now, as we would say in pure "Adina Equities" speak, Let's rock this"
