April 9th 9:59 am
Things have been crazy! I took some time off and went to Miami. The hotel "The Shore Club" was a zoo. An absolute zoo. I don't know if it was because of time of year, but I wouldn't go back to that hotel unless I was in my early 20's. So much for R & R! The first night I was so miserable from the techno music booming into the room from the pool bar, I had to move rooms several times. Eventually, I was so upset I almost flew home.
The only reason I didn't was, in the end, out of total frustration, they put me in a one of a kind suite with a terrace and well.. That was the only upside. I stuck it out a few days and did have a good time celebrating my friends Bachlorette party but rest and relaxation was not exactly on the agenda. I did end of leaving a day early so I could be back to work on Sunday. I had a lot ot do and catch up on. March was a slow month actually and that always makes me very nervous. I met with a Landlord I work with on Sunday, got a new listing, and had dinner with clients Sunday night too. All in all it was productive and I did feel a little better that I came home and got some work achieved. I stayed a few days in the city and now I am at my Hampton's house getting ready for Passover. 12 guests are coming and I am cooking. Ha. That should be interesting. Tomorrow I start my business venture with the Hampton's Real Estate office that I have been talking with out here. I am very excited about that. I already have two listings and I can't wait to get them listed. There is a lot to learn, but that's exciting. I feel really good about this. Basically the plan is to do some cross marketing and hopefully I will start to get listings and referrals out here too. I have a goal to become a top producer in the Hampton's. That will be perfect for me and my future. The more time I spend outside of the city, the more I realize how tough city life is. We get caught up in the moment and get sucked into it's madness but truthfully there is a really great quality of life outside of the city. It's just something I am contemplating. Would be tough to be away full time, after all I do have a business to run. But part time with maybe in the future full time. That's something that may just work.
