Somebody said to me yesterday "your blogs have been getting shorter and shorter" I said, "Well, that's how I have been feeling lately" After all, when you write, you are giving, when you don't have much to "give" I guess your blog becomes short. Ha. Who knew. Sigh. Yesterday was kind of a slow day at the office, due to St. Patty's day I believe. I welcome these days from time to time. They are like kind of random days where you can sort of go at a slower pace all day and not feel bad about it. I have to admit I was moving slow, feeling slightly hung over from my evening at Bobby Van's. I grabbed Erin from the office and took her out for lunch. She had a beer and I had a little hair of the dog, a nice glass of Sancerre. I quite enjoyed it actually and my headache went away immediately.
My office admin called in sick yesterday so I hung around the office most of the day. Around 5 I headed back to Avenue S, in Brooklyn to meet with the building's property manager to try to make that new possible exclusive building official. I met Moshe, a jovial orthodox man with a good sense of humor and great business sense. We hit it off immediately. Things like this make my day. Me in my green sleeveless ruffled dress in honor of St.
Patty's day and my nude fish nets stockings and some sexy (if I do say so myself Jimmy Choo suede boots (normally not who an orthodox man is used to doing business with I presume) but never the less we hit it off, because it's business and we understand each other. I work for landlords and property managers of all different backgrounds actually, they all have one thing in common, they need good service from a Rental Broker they can trust. That's the bottom line.I am good at what I do. It exudes from me when I meet with these Owners and Property managers. I am myself. I don't have to wear a suit. I don't change myself to what I think the other person expects to see. That's why my website is pink and my dog is on it.
I am me. In the end I am an expert in my field. I produce results. I deliver what I promise to do. And I'm proud of it. All this and a great pair of Jimmy Choo's? What more could I ask for :-) To be continued |
